Making a ferocious statement of intent this week are Brighton trio Tigercub. Announcing the release of long-awaited debut album Abstract Figures In The Dark, the three piece’s new single ‘Omen’ is a stupidly addictive, aggressive slice of progressive noise. Set for release on much-loved UK label Alcopop! - the album could well be one of the most exciting rock releases of the year, if this new single is anything to go by. Snarling guitar lines snake around a hard-hitting rhythm section, as frontman Jamie Hall’s hostile vocals compliment the whole sound exceptionally.
